Routes Around Alhambra

On August 14, 2024, Alhambra took a new route in Freshman orientation. What most students are used to are taking a trip from MJHS in May to tour Alhambra High School and look at clubs. This is no more. The students who were used to this did not go to the first day at 8:30, but instead 9:45. On the first day freshman arrive at PAB at 8:30 to have a class meeting. In this class meeting the class of ‘28 met their principal, vice principals, senior presidents, and Ms.Stafford. After Stafford tells a story on how her friend wanted to go to Hawaii with no money, she compares high school to a dollar and students screech as she rips up a dollar bill threatening to rip up a twenty dollar bill. Stafford leaves the stage and group leaders introduce themselves. Students are split into orientation groups on stage alike to the past how students have a number on their nametag and split into groups. These groups isolate themselves from other groups and scatter on campus to tour Alhambra.
