The View of a Business Owner

The+View+of+a+Business+Owner

I recently interviewed my dad, Chad Menconi, who is a mechanic and business owner. His business is called AAautomotive and has had it for a long time. Here is the Q&A:

Q: What inspired you to be an automotive technician?

A: I loved working on cars and trucks. I found out it was something I was good at and I enjoyed fixing stuff.

Q: How long have you had your business?

A: We have been in business for 23 years. We opened in February 2001.

Q: What advice do you have for the auto shop kids at school that may own a shop one day?

A: I would say to learn more about people and learn how to manage money. Work for yourself for a few years then when your comfortable, hire an employee.

Q: What has being a business owner taught you?

A: I’ve learned to listen more and try and see things from the customer’s perspective.

Q: Would you consider yourself to be an entrepreneur?

A: Yes, I would consider myself an entrepreneur.
